BMW R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental celebrate their debuts in The Cadillac Three’s new music video.

A world premiere like never before.

BMW R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental celebrate their debuts in The Cadillac Three’s new music video.

Munich, 29 July 2021. The new BMW R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental celebrate their world premieres like no other motorcycle before: they are starring in the music video of well-known Big Machine Records act
The Cadillac Three and their new song “Get After It”. After various digital world premieres, this is another completely new approach to show a new bike for the first time.

The collaboration with the band from Nashville, Tennessee (USA) came to life just natural. “One of the most exciting things about this partnership is being able to combine awesome music and motorcycles. It was a truly special experience to be the first person in the USA to ride these new bikes for the first time,” says lap-steel guitarist Kelby Ray, who is a passionate rider himself.
The video production took place just outside of Nashville in June with director Dylan Rucker leading the high-octane clip. “This was such an awesome experience! While recording the track we tried to incorporate the feeling of getting on that BMW Motorrad bike for the first time while playing a really loud guitar through huge Marshall stacks like we do out on the road. I think we nailed it,” Singer-guitarist Jaren Johnston adds. And the third member of the band, drummer Neil Mason, says: “We’ve had a great relationship with Marshall Amplifiers for a long time and when we found out they’d recommended us to BMW to help launch their new motorcycle with a music video for “Get After It,” it felt like a big ole hell yes for us.”

Riding a motorcycle while listening to music – both fit well together, as they promise deep emotional experiences and intense pleasure on two wheels. It is not for nothing that generations of artists have dedicated their songs to the experience of motorcycling.

“BMW Motorrad stands for the passion for riding, but it’s also about meeting people and being part of the community,” says Ralf Rodepeter, Head of Marketing and Product Management BMW Motorrad. “Both music and riding a motorcycle are just about pure emotion. I can’t think of a better song than this awesome track from The Cadillac Three for this project.” To ensure that beats and basses perfectly complement the ear while riding, BMW Motorrad has long been engaged in intensive development work on its sound systems. With its now agreed long-term partnership with world-renowned British company Marshall Amplification, the innovation and quality of BMW Motorrad sound systems are set to reach new heights.

With the Marshall sound system, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B offer an intense sound experience. Already as standard both bikes feature a sound system developed in collaboration with the British manufacturer Marshall, featuring 2-way speakers integrated into the front of the fairing. Black speaker grilles with white Marshall lettering round off the classic look.

The Marshall Gold Series Stage 1 and Stage 2 sound systems are optionally ex works to provide even more intensive listening pleasure. Up to 4 loudspeakers and 2 subwoofers with 280 watts of total output provide incomparable sound quality and "good vibrations".

For 60 years, Marshall, originally from Hanwell, London, now based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes (UK), have produced legendary guitar amplifiers used by the world’s best musicians. Since 2012 they have expanded their audio quality into award winning headphones and active speakers designed for music lovers.

“The legendary Marshall spirit and the development power of BMW Motorrad just fit perfectly together. It’s the perfect match,” says Alex Coombes, Commercial Director Marshall. “We’re already looking forward of much more to come”.

With the new R 18 Transcontinental, BMW Motorrad is adding a Grand American Tourer to the R 18 family as well as the R 18 B "Bagger", which is particularly popular in the USA. As with the previous R 18 models, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B combine the thrilling power of the "Big Boxer" with a classic chassis concept based on historical models, exclusive equipment and a stylish design.
The two new members of the R 18 family will be presented on 6 August in Sturgis, South Dakota, USA for the first time to the public. Worldwide start of sales of the new BMW R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental will be in September 2021.

Get On! Moto Fest Team AMD USA Qualifier - Get On! Moto Fest Texas Motor Speedway, May 20 - 23, 2021

Get On! Moto Fest

Team AMD USA Qualifier -
Get On! Moto Fest
Texas Motor Speedway, May 20 - 23, 2021

With the world tentatively headed towards a post-pandemic reboot, industry veteran Bob Kay and custom bike builder and show organizer Kevin Dunworth operated the first in their program of 'TEAM AMD USA' world Championship of Custom Bike Building qualifiers - hosted by the Get On! Moto Fest in Texas in May.

Builders from all over the USA headed for the Texas Motor Speedway at Fort Worth just a week after the U.S. CDC lifted its travel restrictions and mask mandates - all hopeful to qualify for an expenses paid trip to represent the United States custom bike building community at the next AMD World Championship. The next 'AMD' ('AMD' XIV - postponed from 2020) is presently slated for INTERMOT, Cologne, Germany, in October 2022.

The structure of this competition was 'winner takes all' prizing with trophies for second to fifth places. "As usual, we had some heavy U.S. hitters bringing some amazing builds," says Kevin. "The first thing we did was to have everyone meet for a morning ride on the Friday of set-up. This was a 22-mile ride through the Texas countryside with a medallion handed to each builder for completion of the route.

Winner: Rick Bray/RKB Kustom Speed, 'King Solomon', 1981 Shovelhead 76 ci

"There is a handicap for any bike that does not complete the ride under its own power - come the judging, it can't get the same full points as the bikes that do complete the ride. So, compared to display only shows, the heat was on and you could feel the tension as many negotiated their custom starting procedures, or kicked these beautiful machines to life.
"With the test ride done and spectators starting to gather around the area, the unique 'in it together' camaraderie of the now established 'AMD' vibe kicked in with all the builders joining forces to get the bikes positioned and the display completed - helping each other and getting the bikes clean and ready for the crowds. The brotherhood of common goals and respect for each other superseding the underlying seriousness of the competition in a very cool display of shared commitment to the art.
"Once the display was ready and the event officially open, the comments from many industry peers and first time spectators were music to the ears of the competing builders. Mostly there was astonishment that the bikes had been ridden hard just hours before - the ultimate compliment and appreciation of the high standard of design and craftsmanship on show - the ride and the display showcasing the quality of the engineering and the marriage of form and function."

Second place: Ryan Gore/Paper Street Customs, 1978 Harley Shovelhead

Third place: Colt Wrangler, 1977 Yamaha XS650 'Theory Coffee Build'

Bob Kay headed up the chairman duties, with Team AMD USA team member Brian Buttera and Kevin rounding out the three-man judging panel. After the scores had been weighted for the ride, the Peer Group Review Judging (where the builders themselves cast votes - not for their own bikes though!) counted for around 50 percent of the judged score.
"Yes, the weekend saw some tough weather," said Kevin, "and as has

Pure&Crafted Festival returns to Berlin

BMW Motorrad News

Pure&Crafted Festival returns to Berlin

Two years after its last event - the final staging of BMW Motorrad Days at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria - BMW Motorrad has confirmed recent speculation by announcing a return for its Pure&Crafted festival concept.

Launched in Berlin in 2015 and initiated by BMW Motorrad, the Pure&Crafted Festival will return to the banks of the River Spree on 17-18 September 2021. BMW Motorrad will once again be the title sponsor of the event.
For the first time, the event will be held in the Berlin trade fair's event-proven Summer Garden, which offers a unique setting in the heart of City West directly under the Radio Tower. "Here, fans can experience the special mix of live music, motorbike culture and new heritage lifestyle. And this year, visitors and music fans can look forward to some truly special live music, with The Hives and Jake Bugg already confirmed.
"Away from the stage, of course, much will revolve around motorcycles and the world around them: in the Wheels Area, exciting custom bikes will once again be waiting to be discovered. But the focus is not only on these unique art objects and their makers, but also on everyone who shares their passion for motorbikes. New heritage culture, fashion and lifestyle accessories will be the focus of attention at the General Store here."

Two-wheeled wonders from past and present set to roar into Salon Privé

Two-wheeled wonders from past and present set to roar into Salon PrivĂ©

Motorcycle parade will open the event on 1 and 2 September

Concours d’ElĂ©gance set to celebrate 100 years of Moto Guzzi

Concours entrants can take part in the pre-event Tour Privé

World debut from top custom motorcycle builder Thornton Hundred

Salon PrivĂ© will be welcoming some of the world’s greatest motorcycles to the fabulous surroundings of Blenheim Palace when it returns the first week of September. Whether in the Concours d’ElĂ©gance  or elsewhere on the South Lawn, it will be a showcase for the finest two-wheeled machinery from past and present.

A new addition for 2021 is the introduction of a motorcycle parade to open the event on the mornings of Wednesday 1 September and Thursday 2 September. Entrants will start outside the show field, then parade through the grounds of Blenheim Palace and into place on the elegant South Lawn.

There will also be the opportunity for Motorcycle entrants to take part in Tour Privé for the first time, on Tuesday 31 August. The 100-mile route will depart the Great Court at Blenheim Palace and travel through the spectacular Cotswold countryside, with a luncheon stop at Grittleton House nestled in the picturesque village of Grittleton, Wiltshire.

The motorcycles in the Concours d’ElĂ©gance will be split into three classes. Early entries for the Motorcycle class include a 1968 Triumph TR6C Trophy. An extremely rare example of this iconic West Coast Street Scrambler, it was part of a production run that lasted only from January to July 1968, and which was considered aesthetically superior to the later models. This particular motorcycle has been completely restored to original specification, included twin-leading-shoe front brake and 12-volt electrics.

A fully rebuilt 1973 Yamaha TZ250A – the first of Yamaha’s water-cooled production race bikes – will star in the Exceptional Competition Motorcycles class, while a 1974 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport will do likewise in a class that will be dedicated to the legendary Italian marque, which is celebrating its centenary in 2021.

The judging panel for the Concours d’ElĂ©gance includes some of the most respected experts in the motorcycle world. Writer and consultant Somer Hooker will be joined by broadcaster Henry Cole, historian Dennis Frost, and former racer Steve Parrish. The Motorcycle Awards Ceremony will take place at noon on Thursday 2 September with judges, owners and the Duke of Marlborough present.

Manufacturers and specialists enjoyed great success at last year’s event – which hosted the

Corbin Saddles introduces new Touring Fairing for Indian Scout Models

Corbin Saddles new Touring Fairing for Indian Scout Models

This Touring fairing for Indian Scout models from Corbin combines Old School visual appeal blended with the Indian Scout styling, along with Corbin's attention to aerodynamic design.
"This stunning fairing looks great while giving excellent wind protection so you can go out and rack up mileage on your Indian Scout. Subtle sculpting makes it beautiful to look at. Another example of form and function expertly combined in Corbin fashion."

The fairing is designed to slip through the wind, creating less turbulence and buffeting, for a quieter and smoother ride than the standard plexiglass windshield design.
Constructed using multiple thermoformed ABS skins, bonded together for a smooth, clean finish and durability, it is topped off with a smoked windscreen for a beautiful, ready install right out of the box. For taller riders, Corbin offers a 10" clear windscreen in place of the smaller smoked one.

Corbin also offers an audio kit upgrade for the Indian Scout fairing. "Using your Bluetooth device as the source, you'll have 500W of power at your fingertips. The dash-mounted controller gives convenient access to most functions, so you won't need to fumble with your cell phone."
Included with the kit is a pair of JL Audio 5.25" coaxial speakers, pre-mounted in the fairing. If dealers get the audio kit at the same time as the fairing, it will come with everything already mounted and ready to go.
The fairing is available in primer, pre-painted a single color or pre-painted two-tone. Corbin's Touring fairing is simple to install with complete directions and all required brackets included.

Finse motorfietsdistributeur Duell neemt Nederlandse IGM Trading BV en Duitse Grand Canyon GmbH over

Finse motorfietsdistributeur Duell neemt Nederlandse IGM Trading BV en Duitse Grand Canyon GmbH over

- Nieuwe logistieke locatie in Hengelo gaat leveringen in Centraal-Europa optimaliseren

onderdelen vanaf juli direct beleveren.
