2018 AMD World Championship - FINAL CALL FOR ENTRIES

The official entry form for the 13th annual 2018 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building is available online at www.amdchampionship.com 

Being staged at the INTERMOT Expo for the third time, in Cologne, Germany, on October 2nd to 7th 2018, (move in on Monday October 1st) and currently have 12 spaces remaining, plus any dropouts. The deadline for entry is FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 21 to allow for necessary admin such as run test video submission etc prior to the show.

All competitors receive the AMD World Championship 2018 special edition 'Competitor Logo' for use in all their own advertising, marketing, print, website, and social media activity, in addition to a free of charge studio-grade photo-shoot set of pictures of their bike, courtesy of photographers Onno Wieringa and Frank Sander.

We are also delighted to announce a sponsorship deal with Avon Tyres, who are making available free tyres for competing bikes - the deadlione for this is TOMORROW September 12 at 16:00 UK time.

INTERMOT have kindly offered an allocation of 100 free day passes for all registered competitors to pass on to their friends, family and customers.

There will be five classes at the AMD World Championship in 2018 - the now traditional and highly acclaimed FreeStyle Class, from which the 13th annual AMD World Champion Custom Bike Builder will be chosen, plus four further classes to recognise specific sectors of the custom motorcycle market …

Retro/Modified Class - to showcase customs based on engines manufactured before 1984;
Modified Harley-Davidson Class - to feature stock frame geometry customs with engines (minimum stock cases) from 1984 and up;

Street Performance Class - to - showcase custom design and engineering work where the primary objective is to improve the performance and handling of streetable customs;

Cafe Racer Class - for 50s/60s inspired road race bikes.

No run testing will take place at the event itself, so video evidence of each bike being ridden must be submitted by September 17th deadline for the bike to be eligible to win a prize. Videos will be available on display on screens in the Builders' Lounge area throughout the show.
