Steel Horse Sisterhood - Woman's Motorcycle Summit

STEEL HORSE SISTERHOOD
WOMEN'S MOTORCYCLE SUMMIT

EVENT RECAP

Loveland, CO., June 28, 2016 - The natural beauty of Ouray, nestled in the San Juan Loop of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado was bathed in morning sunlight and cast a stunning backdrop and forward thinking view to the 3rd Women's Motorcycle Summit hosted by the S.T.R.O.N.G. Women of the Steel Horse Sisterhood.

The event, featuring the 1st America's Summit Challenge, could not have turned out more perfect. Over 65 women riders took to the highways encompassing westward Moab, Utah, eastward Grand Junction, and southward Durango, both located in beautiful Colorado.  1st America's Summit Challenge featured prime riding areas we have all heard the names of: Hwy 128, also known as the Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway including part of the Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway; the Colorado National Monument; The Grand Mesa; the Black Canyon of the Gunnison; the Scenic Hwy 145 following the San Miguel River to Telluride; and of course, the infamous MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY.  The western Colorado setting perfectly complemented this year's theme of the event.

The S.T.R.O.N.G. Women of the Steel Horse Sisterhood reflected their ambitious mission of inspiring growth in women's lives and in the sport of women & motorcycling by hosting this summit.  Women who registered to compete in the Summit Challenge were provided a 92-page "Clue Book" containing over 70 fascinating waypoints.   An inspiring photo shoot in Ridgeway, located on a river's edge surrounded by "Legends of the West", an old western movie set and featuring renowned photographer, Marla Rutherford drew the participation of over 35 women riders.  The Steel Horse Sisterhood big top tent was where the action happened once ladies were "off the road". Base camped at Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot Springs at the foot of the Million Dollar Highway, the featured location provided the setting for the female participants to enjoy their off time, sharing meals, entertainment, live music and the silent auction. Lifetime friendships were forged.  Star performers, inspiring keynote speakers and challenging riding to discover the locations, obvious and hidden, requiring GPS coordinates once competition began, was the norm throughout this event.

Keynote speakers featured Joan Krenning, STEEL HORSE SISTERHOOD; Pat Jacques, ADVWOMAN; June Cline, MAKE IT A GREAT RIDE; and Sandy Aguilera, STAR CONCEPTS; gave inspirational and challenging presentations. The fact that these women are all risk takers, visionaries in their fields as well as seasoned motorcyclists became evident to all in attendance.

"Women are not undergoing evolution or revolution but a metamorphosis." It is a time to be visionary now, more than ever. It is a time for women to share all of their visions for innovative change to help create a "world devoid of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

GET KLOCKED!
You’ve seen Klock Werks mention riders that “get klocked” and we’ve been using #GetKlocked all over social media. But, what does it mean? And why does it matter to you?

Get Klocked is a noun, a verb, and an adjective. It’s an emotion, a sense of accomplishment, a feeling that you did everything you could to make someone else smile. “The idea for “get klocked” came one day when I was working on our catalog at home in the kitchen,” Laura Klock, VP of Klock Werks, said. “I’m an 80s rocker girl, and Def Leppard’s song “Let’s Get Rocked” inspired me. So, to me, it’s an action. Let’s get, let’s get, let’s get, let’s get Klocked!!”

The difference is 17 men and women working hard every day to make sure you get the best parts for your ride, parts that were and are rigorously tested, parts that were developed by land-speed record holders at high speeds, and parts that utilize American manufacturing. Klock Werks wants you to enjoy life, enjoy your recreation, and fuel your passions. For us, the whole experience matters-- from ordering online, talking to our sales guys, finding the best fit, meeting us at events, opening your box, and finally enjoying the product on your bike. It truly matters to us.

“When you “Get Klocked,” you are a part of a family, a community, a culture that believes in every man and woman,” Dave Sietsma, General Manager, said.

So go ahead and Klock Yourself Out with superior products by the air management experts. If you find yourself in the Mitchell, SD area during riding season, stop by. We’d love to see you and show you around.

Buffalo Chip, SD (June 21, 2016) – The speculation is over as the 2016 Sturgis Buffalo Chip complete lineup announcement erases all doubt that it will be anything but another spectacular year at the Largest Music Festival in MotorcyclingTM. In addition to the legendary artists the Buffalo Chip has already announced such as Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd, some of the planet’s top party bands have now made the list including Buckcherry, Cheap Trick, Pop Evil, RATT, Texas Hippie Coalition, ONE – The Only Tribute to Metallica and others.

Viral Artist Creates Buffalo Chip Masterpiece
Pop culture artist, Jason Heuser has brought to life the Buffalo Chip’s 2016 band lineup, the revelry of 35 years of Chip tradition and the American motorcycle spirit in a limited-edition poster to commemorate this year’s event. Heuser’s artwork, which has primarily focused on peculiar presidential portraits, has become a viral sensation. His latest work is an unconventional look at the iconic Buffalo Chip festival that features 2016 poster model Nena, Kid Rock and Miranda Lambert. Two hundred fifty signed and numbered posters, specially printed in a larger size and on artist weight paper, are now available.

Indian Flat Track Rcer

Indian's historic return to flat track
MINNEAPOLIS — Indian Motorcycle®, America’s first motorcycle company, is proud to announce its re-entry into the AMA Pro Flat Track series with its first full-factory racing effort since the 1950s.

AMA Pro Flat Track is highly competitive and has evolved into a demanding, technical and specialized event that typically sees bar-to-bar action and sublime motorcycle control at high speeds on varied dirt surfaces. The Indian Motorcycle Racing Team will contest the series with an all new and proprietary liquid-cooled 750cc four-valve V-Twin competition engine specifically designed for flat track and engineered into a specially built chassis.

Indian Motorcycle has a significant history in flat track, at one time dominating the sport with legendary riders and motorcycles. Perhaps best-known was the Indian Motorcycle Wrecking Crew, consisting of Bill Tuman, Bobby Hill and Ernie Beckman, who won race after race and carried the message of power, balance and quality that lives on in today’s Indian® Scout®.

Multi-time AMA Grand National Champion Jared Mees will join the Indian Motorcycle Racing Team as a test rider in 2016. Mees, 30, won the AMA Grand National Twins Championship in 2009, AMA Grand National Singles Championship in 2012, and the unified AMA Grand National Championship (GNC1) title in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

“We are very excited to return to the AMA Circuit,” says Steve Menneto, President of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries. “We have established the new Indian Chief and Scout series as the cornerstones of our production line-up, and now is the time for us to return to racing in a big way. We know that fans of Indian Motorcycle have been anticipating this announcement and can’t wait to see Indian Racing back in action.”

“Indian Motorcycle was born out of competition, and through its history used racing to develop and improve the product as well as expand the appeal of the brand,” says Reid Wilson, Marketing Director for Indian Motorcycle. “As shepherds for the brand, we will continue that push towards excellence on the street and in competition, and our team is beyond excited to bring the brand back to professional racing.”

“I can’t express how excited I am to be the guy to bring Indian Motorcycle back into the forefront of AMA Pro competition,” says Mees. “We will have a lot of work to do to develop a 100 percent new race platform, but I’m committed and excited at what I have seen on the drawing boards and what the plans are for Indian Motorcycle Racing. This is history for the brand, and being a part of it is truly exciting for me and this sport.

Indian Motorcycle will race the new motorcycle at a circuit to be determined in 2016 in preparation for a full season of competition in 2017. Stay tuned to IndianMotorcycle.com and Indian Motorcycle’s social media channels for continued updates on our progress and details on the bike’s first race.

CCE BOAR VIDEO 'RIDE UNRIVALLED'

CCE 2016 Video RIDE UNRIVALLED

Check out this great video of the BOAR (Bolt On And Ride) Bikes of Custom Chrome Europe.
You'll love it!

Wild times in the Wild West: Custom Chrome Europe's "Bolt On and Ride" Promo-Video shoot 2016!

Ride Unrivalled!

With blazin' guns and smokin' exhausts: Filming Custom Chrome Europe's new music-video in Pullman-City/Harz-Mountains/Germany.

Better, cooler, funnier – and even crazier than last year: The 3rd music video of Custom Chrome Europe will set new standards for "Custom-Promotion". Following "Sexy Thing" (2014) and "This Is!" (2015), "Ride Unrivalled" continues the series of short CCE-clips, which promote "Customizing" in general. The "message": Customizing is adventure, individual as every rider – and great fun! We don't give away the plot – at the time of writing the cutting is still under way – but the "scene shots" of CCE certainly raise curiosity: Custom Chrome Europe goes Wild West!

Lonely streets, wind blows dust through deserted side alleys, lanterns rattle in the wind – Carson City in August 1886? A deep rumble is rolling along, but it ain't a thunderstorm, approaching with the long expected and needed rain to Nevada's deserted landscape, relieving the gold diggers from thirst and draught. The rumble comes quick. The Sheriff looks out of the office window, four strangers come into town. Relaxed and cool, he rolls the drum of his Colt Sixshooter, checking the weapon. Will there be trouble in town today? His eyes meet the clock: 5 to 12 – High Noon. A drop of oil to the drum, turns smoothly as silk. The barrel is polished – and the last "troublemakers" left the town lying on their back. Only up to Boot Hill ...

"Two basic ideas formed the concept of the 2016 video-clip", explains "Boss Man" Andreas Scholz, who also envisioned the basic plot for the music clip, "first we wanted a "new start", which means a completely stand-alone new story that would have nothing in common with the 2014/2015 videos which were succeeding stories, but we also wanted to give the Italian Sales Representative Ivano Segato the leading role, since Italy is an important market for CCE. This is also a reason why we opted for a parody of the typical Spaghetti-Western."

Pullman City near Hasselfelde in the eastern Harz Mountains was found perfect to film "on location" – and a themed Western town that is open to bike riders, too: Every June, the world´s biggest Boss Hoss V-8 Bike meeting takes place here, and the owner of the Theme-Park owns the first-ever homologated Boss Hoss of Germany. Several other Biker-events lure 2-wheeled visitors to the scenic location above Hasselfelde. The challenge: Filming would take place
