The motorcycle industry has confirmed the Motor Bike Expo to be the leader: in this edition, the public was able to admire over 200 custom motorcycles, made by customizers that have been awarded and are famous in the world, from all over Europe, USA and Kuwait special guests came to the Verona Show.
"A first-class exhibition center, know-how and experience are assets that VeronaFiere as a joint owner of 50% of Motor Bike Expo, make up for the growing success of this event. The MBE Verona, today, is one of the leading international events in the industry, certainly the only one
for its particular regard to the segment ‘Custom’ “ states Maurizio Danish, President of VeronaFiere.
"Motor Bike Expo is the undisputed leader and it is a fair that looks to the future with great attention, which is expanding in terms of exposure worldwide with increasing attention to equipment, hardware and touring – shows, “ says Giovanni Mantovani, Director General Veronafiere, “Veronafiere is proving ever more attentive and receptive to major events and for consumer enthusiasts. "
Francesco Agnoletto, organizer of the Motor Bike Expo; "The improvement of the numbers compared to 2015 confirms the continuing positive trend that, over the years, does record the event. We proposed a level of preparation of the exhibition spaces absolutely unthinkable before today which shows that, even in an event that is so complex to organize, if there is a will, you can always improve. We invite all our fans for the third weekend in January 2017 for a new edition of Motor Bike Expo that features more, outstanding innovations ".
"We have received the greatest attention of the racing” says Paola Somma, organizer of MBE, “and that opportunity is well exploitede to attend the visitors with their new series, but also with concept bikes that perfectly interpret the spirit of the show. Ideal symbol of true internationalism of the event is the Magazine Award, the contest that brings Italian recognision of some of the most renowned magazines, allowing them to assess the absolute autonomy, especially Italian ones and foreign that triggers and channels communications, synergies and partnerships that result in business for companies. In absolute terms, the number of journalists has increased in quality and quantity, and the MBE registered a growing presence of members of the general press. "
"The great success of this edition of Motor Bike Expo in Verona,” declared Paolo Sesti, President of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, “is the confirmation of the clear signs of recovery in the industry. In addition to the general enthusiasm in the stands, we must consider the real data: in 2015 sales on the Italian market have closed by touching a growth of 10 per cent and, finally, after long seasons of difficulty, people start investing again. Even for us to Federmoto the first data available in 2016 confirm this trend. "
Of course there is a lot of news of the numerous manufacturers present in official form.
Motor Bike Expo staged several contests, created to reward the achievements of the most attractive custom bikes. The award for best special "radical" in the Custom Chrome Europe Show, was assigned to Ducky Cafe Tracker, made by the workshop of Yuri Shif Custom Belarius, Russia. A fascinating bike, with the engine embedded in a rigid tube with cushioned saddle.
Than it was time for the Magazine Awards, a contest organized by the staff of Motor Bike Expo which this year had as judges journalists of the most important trade magazines, whom elected their favorite bike, awarding them with a feature in itheir magazine. Already awarded on Saturday from Karen Davidson as the most beautiful special based on an H-D, the "No Rules" Radikal Choppers (Andrea Radaelli) continued his success, by picking up two nominations in the Magazine Awards, awarded by Dream Machine and Easyriders Germany. From the United States, Baggers Magazine awarded the H-D Road King Vida Loca Choppers, Hot Bike Bullet 1200 Italian Style Cruiser and crowned the BMW K100 scrambler made by Garage65 of Viareggio. Classic choice for the Japanese magazine Vibes: his award went to a 1927 Harley-Davidson built by PDF. Danny Scheider had the same inspiration for the Harley-Davidson WL, that was built in his shop Hard 9 Choppers, and he got awarded by British 100% Biker magazine. The German Bikers Power magazine rewarded Opera, a realization signed by South Garage while Dutch based, but International operating & publishing online magazine Madness Photography awarded the BMW R 100 RT Special presented by Inglorious Basterds.
The Dave Perewitz Paint Show awarded eleven of the most beautiful paintjobs on display at the Motor Bike Expo. "It 'was really difficult to decide who was the winner, due to the very high level of special paint displayed here in Verona," said the US custom bike builder Dave Perewitz before he crowned the seventies inmspired Ironhead chopper created by Motofficina Marinelli of Latin Vittorio Gavin ‘Best Paint’. The chopper has a 1000 cc XLH 1976 motor in a rigid frame, long forks and decorations in gold leaf on beautiful paint.
The same chopper was also awarded the title of "Top 20" as part of the Bike Show organized, as usual, by LowRide magazine.
The prestigious contest organized by the Italian magazine, crowned ‘Best of Show’ the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 2004 from Kuwait. It is a special bike, whose value is difficult to quantify (though much higher than the 100,000 EUR), and it’s built in a completely artisan way. Hard to remain indifferent to the superstructure tight-fitting, the big 32" wheels, and the detailing of the metal hardware; Thruster is embellished with numerous details worked out with extreme care.
The Motor Bike Expo has been more than ever the stage for big names of international custom. Real stars have given the’ living magical moments’: such as Fred Krugger and Jeff Decker. But there were more, like Cory and Zach Ness, representatives of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, ‘The Heart’ of the Sturgis Rally and also partners MBE, Dave and Jody Perewitz and other stars of international custom as Nicolai Sclater, a trendy artist and known as ‘Ornamental Conifer’.
A true lifestyle custom is expressed through personal choices. Riding a motorcycle is a way of thinking and being. The Motor Bike Expo is the best expression of this! Like The Barber Room, along with Laboratory Having Beard, launched during the Show, an original initiative, a contest of trends, the first reserved for barbers (and also open hairdressers). Their mood is that the concept of a beard is not related simply to the craft of the barber. It 'a broader concept, a way of life, just like the bike. And for the title 40 barbers and hairdressers came from all over Italy.
The Motor Bike Expo, the biggest Custom Show in Southern Europe, will be on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday, January 24 2016 at the Verona Fair, Italy. The event is ABSOLUTE Recognized As Leader in Italy and has become, over the years, a point of reference in the European and International scenes.
