It's showtime: The Essen Motor Show, Europe's leading fair for performance

Je gaat natuurlijk niet alleen voor de Bikeshow, die internationale deelnemers heeft en ook dit maal weer een ongekend hoog niveau kent. Je gaat om de hele custombikescene te beleven, te voelen, je onder te dompelen in een wereld van alles wat jou als custombikeliefhebber zo leuk vindt. 

Drie hallen gevuld met nieuwe custombikes, nieuwe onderdelen en de nieuwste technische snufjes. En dat alles in de gezellige en relaxte sfeer waar deze beurs zo bekend om staat. Meer dan 150 Nederlandse en buitenlandse standhouders wachten op jouw komst. Dit jaar zijn er zelfs weer heel veel nieuwe bedrijven die zich presenteren.
Café Racers en Scramblers, dé trend van vandaag, je ziet er de mooiste exemplaren staan, zowel bedrijven als complete motoren staan in de schijnwerpers.

Hou je van een beetje actie? Dan kom je ook daarmee goed aan je trekken! Waanzinnige, tenenkrommende shows van het Globe of Death Team, onmogelijk lijkende balansprecisie van het Trial Team, en oorverdovend pk-geweld van de top van de Nederlandse Dragracers staat je te wachten in de Spykerhal.  

Iets rustiger, maar ‘slapeloze-nachten-spannend’ is de Junior Biker Build-Off! Als customliefhebber zal jij sleutelen ongetwijfeld ook leuk vinden, en twee teams van het Drenthe College gaan dat drie dagen continue doen. Deze jonge monteurs in opleiding gaan twee coole customs in één weekend, live tijdens de beurs, opbouwen. Een Kawasaki wordt omgebouwd tot Café Racer en een H-D Sportster wordt omgetoverd tot een Scrambler. 

Entertainment is er dit jaar weer volop voor jong en oud! Diverse livebands splelen de sterren van de hemel op het podium in de Eventronhal. De zintuigen worden er geprikkeld door optredens van GoGo danseressen en Striptease Acts zullen de temperaturen ongetwijfeld doen stijgen...

Altijd eens leuk op de foto gewild? We hebben een studio met daarin een coole chopper voor je klaarstaan! Alles wat je hoeft te doen is je mooiste glimlach opzetten en wij maken een foto van je, die nog eens gratis is ook. Voor iedereen, of je nou fotomodel wilt zijn of een mooi kiekje voor moeders thuis wilt hebben, stap gewoon even in de spotlights!

Voor de ‘Next Generation’ bikertjes en bikettetjes hebben we een prachtige studio met daarin een kleine chopper, een leuk bijpassend decor en daar mogen de jongeren een leuke foto van zichzelf laten maken.Alleen, of met papa of mama.  En natuurlijk is ook dat gratis! En de eerste dertig krijgen bovendien een leuk verrassingspakket van Zodiac aangeboden.

Voor de kids is er een kidscorner, met schmincken en een luchtkussen, dus ook de kleintjes zullen veel plezier op de Bigtwin Bikeshow & Expo hebben!

De laatste tijd regent het persberichten over motorfietsdiefstal. En wat is nu erger dan dat jouw motorfiets wordt gestolen! Om dit te voorkomen moet het zo moeilijk mogelijk gemaakt worden voor het dievengilde!

Daarom onderstaand enkele tips:

• Zet de motor altijd vast met een ABUS ART 4 goedgekeurd kettingslot. Doe dit ook altijd aan het frame i.p.v. door het wiel omdat het verwisselen van een wiel behoorlijk eenvoudig is.
• Probeer de ketting zo te bevestigen dat deze niet op de grond ligt zodat het openbreken/slijpen van de ketting wordt bemoeilijkt.
• Maak je ABUS slot altijd vast aan de “vaste wereld”. Hiervoor is het gebruik van de ABUS Grond- / Muuranker zeer geschikt.
• Een camerasysteem kan een uitkomst zijn voor de preventie als ook voor bewijsvoering.

Er zijn systemen op de markt waarbij u de camerabeelden op uw telefoon kunt volgen en bij eventuele beweging een bericht doorsturen naar uw Smartphone.

• En natuurlijk ook op de crossbaan, let erop wanneer u de motor onbeheerd achterlaat. Gebruik hier altijd een slot om de gelegenheidsdief te ontmoedigen. 

Uiteindelijk zal een dief altijd voor de makkelijkste en snelste mogelijkheid gaan.

Industry great and J&P Cycles founder John Parham is among the six inducted. "Getting the letter from the AMA about being inducted was a great surprise.
