Motor Bike Expo Verona 2014 Winner „Klassy 9“ by Kenji Nagai, Cycle Kraft

CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS WINNER:
„Klassy 9“ by Kenji Nagai, Cycle Kraft

Kenji Nagai is one of the great customizers from Japan who’s parts are in high demand all over the globe. Few people would expect that this super-radical custombike is based on a stock
Harley-Davidson frame and engine – a fact which he underlined when Kenji approached to nominate the bike.

As in some of these cases before – with the frame based on a stock Harley-Davidson chassis (minus the swingarm) – the bike was nominated for both categories – which would usually divide the votes from the judges rather than giving the bike more choices. But not with a bike of this excellence! All the selected high class judges, selected from customizers from the USA and international Custombike Journalists made the bike  their choice – enough for each category for a clean win! Extraordinary!

Many items are handcrafted prototypes that will be available now, that the bike is touring the globe, with MOTOR BIKE EXPO Verona one of the European stops.
The engine is supercharged and equipped with Cycle Kraft´s new billet cylinder heads which will now be in production. Other prototypes include the tank cap, all lights – head, tail and bullet-lights – and several other details that made this machine a unique show stopper.

Bij de toekenning van de Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield Award wordt gekeken naar zowel kwaliteit als kwantiteit van de dealer. 2014 edition of the MOTOR BIKE EXPO SHOW in Verona, Italy,

Motor Bike Expo Verona Fiere 2014.

The 2014 edition of the MOTOR BIKE EXPO SHOW in Verona, Italy, was the best and biggest ever. In the various bike shows the level of quality, design and craftmanship was extremely high, bikes from Italy and all over Europe competed in the CCE International Bike Show Series Italian Championship and LowRide shows, magazines awarded their favourite Bikes and all together over 400 bikes competed for may prizes during the three days of the Motor Bike Expo in Verona 2014.
Overwhelming. That’s the feeling you get the minute you arrive at the Verona Fiere, where many halls full of Bikes and everything that has something to do with motocycles, await you. The main four halls are custom Bikes only. And not just custom Bikes, but at the Verona Motor Bike Expo there are famous Italian bike builders present like Abnormal Cycles, Artrix, ASSO Bikes, Garage 65, BCC / Boccin, PDF Motociclette (Punto Di Fuga), Headbangers, Vallese Garage, and Inglorious Bastards, to name a few.

Also many leading European builders and celebreties such as Fred Kodlin, Danny Schneider (Hardnine Choppers), Peder Johansson (HOG Tech), Laurent Dutruel (ZEN Motorcycles), and Mark Wishmore (Ace Cafe London) were present. American celebreties like the Ness familie, Le Pera, Perewitz, Kirk Taylor and Chris Richardson(LA Speed Shop), made there way to the Motor Bike Expo VeronaFiere too.

The Italians know how to build a beautiful custom bike, they are worldfamous for their designs and that, mixed with a good dosis of humor, love for older motorcycles, a sharp eye for details, results in a perfect endresult: prize-wining custom bikes that gain lots of attention and recognition all over the world.  And that’s what the Motor Bike Expo at the VeronaFiere is all about. Add to that the friendly atmosphere, good Italian food and drinks at almost every exhibitors’ stand and, I almost forgot, the Italian women who willingly pose for everybody with a camera… and you’ll end up with one of the best and biggest shows to be found in Europe!

199 RRS by Asso Special Bikes
Asso Special Bike and Mario Colombo are well established for their radical designs. Their booth has been a centerpiece of the Verona BIKE EXPO ever since its introduction. The „Uno-nove-nove RRS“ or 199RRS is the latest bike of the series, unveiled at the 2014 MOTOR BIKE EXPO at Verona. Named after its dramatic weight drop below the 200 kg mark for a V-twin powered custombike, the 16 kg frame is completely made from aluminum, a single down tube splits into two box-shaped tubes that hold engine and gearbox. The swing arm is also aluminum-structure using a Paioli monoshock. The hi-tech frame prototype is hosting a black Rev Tech 110“ engine with Baker 6-speed right side drive transmission, which gives the motorcycle a superbly balanced weight distribution. All bodywork is made from carbon fiber!
