Sturgis Buffalo Chip® and Roadsmith Trikes Join Forces for First Ever Sturgis Trike Ride

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip and Roadsmith Trikes have teamed up for the first annual Trike Owners United Ride (T.O.U.R.) set to take place on Wednesday, August 7th during the Sturgis rally.  The T.O.U.R. all-trike ride starts in Hill City and takes a scenic 50 mile ride and ends with a trike procession through the Sturgis Buffalo Chip to a special reception at the Russ Brown Events Center.  Free of charge, the T.O.U.R. is open to all makes and models of trikes. Riders can pre-register for the event at www.buffalochip.com/TOUR. Participants will also have the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items to the Hill City food drive.

“We are looking forward to working with Roadsmith on what is sure to be an annual tradition for trike owners,” says Rod Woodruff, President of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip.  “On this day, trike riders from around the world will come together to celebrate the freedom and camaraderie shared on three wheels.”  “We could not be more excited to host the Trike Owners United Ride and welcome “trikers” home to the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling.”

The T.O.U.R. event is a brand new endeavor for the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, giving all trike riders a one-of-a-kind experience at the Sturgis rally. All participants have the opportunity to partake in the group ride on some of the area’s most spectacular roads, enjoy free food and drinks with live entertainment and door prizes, be part of the group photo and have full access to the world-famous Motorcycles as Art exhibition at the Russ Brown Events Center. Registration may be available on the day of the event, however, pre -registration is encouraged due to a limited number of available accommodations.

“For over four decades Roadsmith Trikes has built a reputation for designing and producing some of the best trikes in the business,  so it is fitting that we sponsor a trike event with the Sturgis Buffalo Chip to provide a world-class setting and atmosphere for all of those who attend.” said Roadsmith General Manager, Doug Lindholm.  “Our philosophy has always been to exceed our customers’ expectations and this event will enable us to create a unique trike experience for not only our Roadsmith customers, but for all trike owners.”
