S&S® Cycle, Inc of Viola, Wisconsin will be attending the Big Bike Europe show in Essen, Germany May 10th through the 12th.
This will be the first time for the Big Bike Europe event, and the potential for a world-class trade and consumer event is exceptional.
S&S Marketing Director, Pete Amenda explains “This is a great opportunity for our European customers to see our new products for themselves, and speak directly to S&S about them. This applies to both dealers and retail consumers, since Big Bike Europe offers various times for both groups to attend the expo.” The show is open to dealers and their special guests on Friday, May 10th, but is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, May 11th and 12th. Three days gives everybody a chance to check out the goods from S&S.
Besides the opportunity for customers to see new S&S products and get to know the company, the S&S display will feature a special custom motorcycle built by Francesco Mattioli of Crazyoils, a custom bike builder based in Segrate, Italy, just outside of Milan. The bike is based on a 1991 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® model and is currently being built to showcase the new S&S products for this increasingly popular motorcycle line. Francesco is a Member and Associate Judge of the International Master Bike Builders Association and is building a reputation in Europe and the United States for his unique, stylish and, most importantly, rideable custom bikes.
On Saturday night, May 11th, S&S will host a kickoff party for dealers and the ladies and gentlemen of the press to celebrate S&S Cycle’s 55 years in business. This reception will be an excellent opportunity for our dealers to relax and socialize, and to meet Maja Hillegass, S&S Cycle’s sales representative specializing in international market customers. It’s always good to put a face to a name. The party will be held at Rüttenscheider Hausbrauerei located at Girardetstraße 2 – 45131 Essen, not far from the Messe Essen Exhibition Centre and will run from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
In addition, S&S will be presenting a polished V113 TÜV compliant engine to the winner of the S&S Cycle President’s Choice Award. S&S company president Steve Iggens will choose a bike from the Production Class Showcase that, in his words, “best exemplifies what a Custom OE vehicle should be.” He will be evaluating such factors as innovative design, styling, fit and finish, but most importantly, how practical the bike will be as a daily rider. The President’s Choice Award and the engine will be presented at the World Championship of Custom Bike Building awards ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12th
