Norton's new investment; the Vibratory Rumbler
Norton’s Continued Investment
December 8th 2011
Norton continue to invest in plant and equipment to bring components of the 961 in house and firmly British made.
The vibratory rumbler is a piece of equipment that prepares newly machined billet parts from our own in house cnc machine shop for anodising (for cosmetics and corrosion resistance) or painting or powder coating, it does this by vibrating a large bowl full of media ceramic, the component is placed in the bowl which then vibrates the media against the part, removing sharp edges and burrs.
Norton are now bringing more component manufacture in house on the back of continued investment at the factory.
This gives more control over the British supply chain which has proved difficult to get consistent deliveries and guidance from.
